Talented 7-Year-Old Wins Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition

In a heartwarming display of creativity, a seven-year-old girl has emerged as the standout winner of the Mayor of Salisbury’s Christmas card competition with her vibrant and festive design.

Mayor Councillor Atiqul Hoque organized the competition, inviting local children aged up to 13 to craft the design for his annual Christmas card. After sifting through numerous entries, the Mayor, with the theme “Salisbury, the City of Stars,” awarded Martha, aged 7, top honors for her entry “Rainbow Christmas”.

Cllr Hoque praised the budding artist, stating, “Well done to everyone who took part in my Christmas card competition. It was hard choosing a winner as there were many fantastic entries. We are lucky to have so many talented young people in Salisbury. Congratulations to Martha for being this year’s winner - her entry stood out because of her creative use of color and imagination.”
