A police presence continues in a residential area of Swindon as the investigation into a stabbing and bike theft unfolds. The incident occurred around 6:50 pm on Thursday evening (November 25) in Malmesbury Gardens, where a man in his 20s sustained knife injuries and had his bicycle stolen. He was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
Law enforcement cordoned off a section of Malmesbury Gardens and Dulverton Road, with forensic experts conducting investigations. The cordon was lifted on Friday afternoon.
DCI Geoff Smith of Swindon CID expressed the severity of the assault and assured the pursuit of multiple lines of enquiry. He emphasized the sustained police presence in the area and urged the community to reach out to officers with any concerns.
